He washes his hands! Slovak Television and Radio decided to make drastic changes after the management led by Martina Flašíková took over. They also touched on the popular show I Love Slovakia. The show, whose roots go back to the Netherlands, thus “lived” for fifteen seasons on television screens.
“Sometimes I feel like we’re going round and round – the same guests, the same jokes, the same ‘puk’ who visited the same village for the sixth time in Milujem Slovensko,” last year, Flašíková defended her decision to get rid of the show for the program si uchmatla JOJka, and from the end of February she will put it in direct competition with the project that replaced it in Mlynská dolina. It is the travel-entertainment show On the Right Way, and Martina Flašíková evaluated for Koktejl.sk how satisfied she was with Friday’s show.
“I am very happy to see that the new family show On the Right Path has successfully entered Friday prime time and attracted a wide audience. Around 465,000 viewers already watched the show at its premiere, which is a strong signal that we have taken the right step in renewing the Friday program and bringing a format that has the potential to appeal to entire families across the country.” says Flašíková about the format that comes from Sweden and its original name is På spåret. In its home country, its first episode was already broadcast in September 1987. Viewers were extremely curious about the news, even though their ebb and flow can be felt from week to week. According to the portal, the other third episode was watched by 351,000 people, which are still very good viewership numbers.
Fans on social networks appreciate the interesting scene with the bus and the train compartment, or the funny and prompt presenter Ján Dobrík. They perceive the project as a refreshing Friday evening. Others in the comments ask for more space for the popular traveler Martin Navrátil, and for some viewers the project seems boring and old-fashioned. The head of STVR perceives the feedback. “Even the reactions of the viewers on social networks were mostly positive. Many appreciated the combination of travel, humor and knowledge elements that the show offers. Of course, in each new format there are also reminders that we can draw on for the next episodes.” promises Martina Flašíková. “We are creating space for everyone and we will be happy when new, young talents and ‘unseen’ faces appear on STVR broadcasts,” the general director revealed a few weeks ago.
Martina Flašíková would not change her decision to throw Milujem Slovensko overboard. “The management of STVR is behind the decision to replace the show I love Slovakia with a new format,” she told us in the past and the same is true in the present. The former captain of Adele Vincze’s entertainment format, Dan Dangle, but not even the moderator Martin Nikodým, will not read her words easily. “Regarding the decision to replace a long-running show in this slot, I am convinced that the move to an innovative concept was a step in the right direction. It brings a new type of entertainment on the right track, combining knowledge, suspense and world exploration, and this is a combination that encourages us to believe that we have bet on a format with the potential for long-term popularity.” she sent for Flašíková.
