Former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) criticized, this Monday (26), the Lula government’s decision not to classify criminal factions such as Comando Vermelho (CV) and Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) as terrorist groups, despite the request made by Donald Trump.
During an international conference to combat anti-Semitism, held in Jerusalem, Israel, Eduardo stated that “all intelligence services know what happens in the border regions between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay”, which motivated the border countries to classify South American cartels as terrorist groups, which, according to him, only Lula would not have done.
“The absence of attacks does not mean the absence of terrorists. And of those three countries, only one refused full cooperation with the United States under Donald Trump. Yes, Brazil under the Lula government”, he explained. The former deputy also highlighted that Brazilian factions have links with Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad.
Opportunity with security!
Despite having his mandate as deputy revoked, Eduardo was presented at the event as a Brazilian parliamentarian. In his speech, he also accused, without providing evidence, Non-Governmental Organizations of serving as a front for the structuring of factions in the country.
The former deputy highlighted that “today’s anti-Semitism does not always use a swastika. It hides behind NGOs, humanitarian language and academic jargon, such as the term ‘anti-Zionist’.”
In addition to Eduardo and Flávio Bolsonaro, the event features the participation of major Israeli authorities, such as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Support for Flávio’s candidacy
During his speech, Eduardo also repudiated Brazil’s withdrawal from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance in July 2025 — motivated by the prolongation of the war in Gaza.
“There is no justification for Brazil, under the Lula government, to withdraw from the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Why does it reject education about the Holocaust in the country with the 2nd largest Jewish population in Latin America? Anyone with a good moral compass knows the answer,” he said.
Afterwards, the event’s mediator stated that Lula symbolized “socialism connected to anti-Semitism”, at which point Eduardo agreed and complemented by asking for support for the candidacy of his brother, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ).
“100%. We will defeat him. My brother, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, will run for president in October. I ask you to support him. My father could run, but he is in jail because of the political use of the law”, he concluded.
Jair Bolsonaro is in prison after being convicted of orchestrating an attempted coup d’état that culminated in the acts of January 8th.
