The president of Novo, Eduardo Ribeiro, invited federal deputy Alfredo Gaspar, to join the party and run for the Senate for Alagoas. Gaspar currently belongs to União Brasil.
“Deputy Alfredo Gaspar demonstrated courage, responsibility and technical capacity throughout his mandate, qualities that are even more evident in his. His alignment with the values and principles of the New is public and notorious. It would be a great honor to have him as our candidate for the Senate in these elections”, stated Ribeiro.
The deputy thanked him for the invitation and was ready to respond. Gaspar does not hide that his political project is to seek one of the two Senate seats in his state and is counting on the exposure of the CPI for this.
The election in Alagoas promises to be disputed, with big names running, such as former mayor Arthur Lira (PP). The first lady of Maceió, Marina Candia, is also mentioned.
Novo has been negotiating with right-wing parliamentarians and offering itself as an alternative for those who are out of space.
