The protesters held flags of Iran, Portugal, Israel and the United States, as well as posters with the face of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, son of the shah deposed in 1979 by the Iranian Revolution, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
The president of the Liberal Initiative, Mariana Leitão, and other members of the party participated in the march, which left Marquês de Pombal towards Terreiro do Paço shortly after 3:00 pm, under heavy rain.
