At least 17 people have died after a landslide in West Java, with regional authorities reporting more than 70 missing and 650 people left homeless after a village was destroyed.

The death toll from a major landslide in Indonesia rose to 17 on Monday, as rescuers with heavy equipment continued to search for dozens of missing people.
