Clécio Luís is currently a member of Solidariedade and is a pre-candidate for re-election to the State government
The governor of Amapá, (currently in Solidariedade), agreed to go to União Brasil. The act of affiliation will be held on Friday (January 30, 2026) and will be attended by the president of the Senate and national general secretary of the party, Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP).
“Governor Clécio Luís has promoted major changes that improve the lives of Amapá residents. This affiliation strengthens a project committed to the development of Amapá”said Alcolumbre in a statement released to the press.
Pre-candidate for re-election in the State, Clécio Luís was mayor of Macapá for 2 terms before moving to the state government in 2022. Before migrating to Solidariedade, he was affiliated with Rede Sustentabilidade, Psol and PT.
According to União Brasil, Clécio Luís’s membership consolidates the party in the State. The party administers 9 of the 16 municipalities and will also have the state Executive.
The capital Macapá is commanded by the mayor (MDB).
