The party will support the candidacy of (PSDB) for the government of Ceará.
In common, Aldo and Ciro are two politicians with left-wing trajectories who in recent years have moved closer to the right. They were also ministers in the Lula government.
“I’ve known Ciro for so long that it’s not even worth saying. We have a historical political affinity, since we participated together in the reconstruction of UNE [no final dos anos 1970]”, says Aldo,
The affinity was repeated in the 2022 election, when both were members of the PDT and Aldo supported Ciro’s presidential candidacy.
“In the current situation, the best alternative for Ceará is Ciro, and that’s why my party, the DC, will be together with him”, stated Aldo.
Ciro must have as his main opponent Governor Elmano de Freitas (PT), a candidate for re-election, and has been negotiating an alliance with right-wing parties, such as PL and União Brasil.
