Renato and Jair hit the jackpot at Mega da Virada, with the numbers 13, 21, 32 and 59. He says he tried to withdraw the money on the 20th at the Miracatu lottery (about 140 km from the capital of São Paulo), but was surprised by the information that the prize had already been paid.
“I am a frequent Mega Sena player, this cannot happen. They can only pay the prize with the steering wheel, with proof of the game. This has to be corrected. This cannot happen to other people”, says the pre-candidate for federal deputy for São Paulo.
Renato shared with Sheet the statement delivered by the lottery. The document contains the information “premium already paid”. Caixa was contacted for the report, but there has still been no response.
Renato published a photo of the winning ticket on social media shortly after the draw, but says he did not give the steering wheel to anyone. The bet, according to him, was also made in the name of his brother Jair, with whom he used to play — and who is now imprisoned for an attempted coup d’état in a Military Police battalion.
“We started the year 2026 with luck! We hit the court in a Mega da Virada pool. Every year we play. We always make a pool with me, my brother, Mozart and a brother-in-law of mine”, said Renato on social media on January 1st.
“I’m the one who always organizes the pool. Last year we played and we also won the court. This year we made the pool in 3 and I couldn’t leave my brother out. This time 22 didn’t come out, but in 2026 you can note that 22 will win”, he added, referring to the PL number.
Mega da Virada drew the numbers 09 – 13 – 21 – 32 – 33 – 59. Caixa states that 308,315 people guessed correctly — which earned R$216.76 for each of them. For the 3,921 games that reached the corner, the cash jackpot was R$11,931.42 each.
Six bets matched the six numbers and shared the main prize, of R$ 1,091,357,286.52, — one made at a lottery in João Pessoa (PB), another in Ponta Porã (MS) and another in Franco da Rocha (SP), in addition to three on the Internet. Each received R$181,892,881.09.
