During the heating season, many of us struggle with the problem of dry skin on our hands, heels and elbows. Dry air in homes and frost outside cause the epidermis to crack, burn and become unpleasantly rough.
However, you don’t have to accept that your skin will feel like a washboard. Instead of suffering, try cheap olive ointment from the pharmacy. Thanks to it, your body will regain its velvety softness.
Olive ointment is one of the best products to use in winter for rough heels and elbows. Contains olive oil, which is rich in fatty acids, lubricates and rebuilds the lipid barrier after application.
Olive ointment is usually suitable even for sensitive skin due to its simple composition. It creates a protective layer on the body, making it smoother and more flexible. It also protects the skin against further drying and irritation.
Olive ointment is cheap and effective. You can buy it over the counter in most pharmacies, and for a standard package (approx. 20 ml) you will usually pay from PLN 5 to PLN 10although it depends on the manufacturer and place of purchase.
Either way, it’s a small expense, and applying olive ointment is also simple. After bathing, rub it into clean, slightly damp skin, gently massaging the product into sensitive areas. If you have very rough skin, e.g. on your heels or elbows, you can apply a thicker layer at night.
Remember that regularity is important. Usually It is recommended to apply olive ointment to dry skin 1-2 times a day to reduce water loss in winter.. After just a few days, the skin should be softer.
