The senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and his brother, former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL)met with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahuthis Monday (26), during an international conference against anti-Semitism, held in the Middle Eastern country.
According to a statement released by the senator’s office, Flávio, who is pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republictook the opportunity to make commitments to the Israeli government in the event of a victory in the election.
“It was a great honor to be received by him, even at such a delicate time in the region and with his schedule highly occupied by tensions in the region,” he stated.
The parliamentarian reported having committed to “fully resuming commercial relations with Israel”, if elected. Flávio also promised that, in this case, within the first year of his term, he will complete the transfer of the Brazilian Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
At the end of the meeting, the senator gave the prime minister a Palmeiras shirt, as a souvenir of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL)who is imprisoned in the Papuda Complex, in Brasília.
On social media, Flávio shared an excerpt from Netanyahu’s speech, when the prime minister welcomed the Brazilians.
“We have members of parliament here, including two brothers, Eduardo and Flávio Bolsonaro, it’s great to see you from Brazil. Other members of Parliament and distinguished guests are here. I want to welcome you all”, says the Israeli.

Still in December, the senator said in an interview with Reuters that he would . Brazilian elections take place in October.
“I intend to be in the United States, I intend to be here in Latin America too, I intend, finally, to be in countries like Argentina, Chile, where the current president Katz has just shown that the right is coming strong, it is a very strong wave here in South America. I intend to go to Israel, also visit some countries in the Middle East and Europe”, he said at the time.
