A 28-year-old man was killed tonight by police officers in . According to the evidence so far, during a check for drug trafficking, plainclothes officers saw a man approaching, who allegedly pointed a revolver at them.
According to reports in the Italian press, one of the policemen reacted, fatally shooting the 28-year-old.
From the investigations so far, it emerged that the young man, of North African origin, was in possession of a stun gun.
The Italian Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piangendozzi, said that “no one will be given a shield of protection”, but asked, at the same time, “that there should be no pre-judgments”. The secretary of the League and Minister of Transport, Matteo Salvini, underlined that “he is on the side of the police, without any qualms”.
