In joint action with the CGU, the Federal Police carried out 35 search and seizure warrants in the Rio Grande do Nortein addition to the adoption of precautionary and patrimonial measures
The Federal Police (PF) and the General Comptroller of the Union (CGU) launched, this Tuesday (27), the Operation Mederiwith the aim of dismantling a criminal scheme aimed at the diversion of public resources and fraud in bidding procedures in the health sector.
In total, 35 search and seizure warrants are being executed in , in addition to the adoption of precautionary and property measures determined by the Courts.
The investigations point to signs of irregularities in contracts for the supply of inputs to the public health network. According to the scheme would involve companies based in Rio Grande do Norte that maintained contracts with municipal administrations in several states.
Audits carried out as part of the investigation identified flaws in contractual execution, such as signs of non-delivery of materials, inadequate supply of inputs and overpricing.
Those investigated may be held liable for crimes related to the diversion of public resources and fraud in administrative hiring. The investigations remain ongoing.
