“SBT” dates 6 sponsors for the 2026 Cup

Broadcaster and NSports already exceed the amount paid to FIFA for the rights to 32 World Cup games

O SBT and NSports announced this Tuesday (27th January) contracts with 6 companies to sponsor the broadcasts, which allowed the partnership to exceed the amount invested in purchasing the rights from the (International Football Federation).

The sponsors are Airbnb, Esportes da Sorte, Friboi, Haleon, McDonald’s and Seara. SBT and NSports show 32 matches from the tournament, which will be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada. In the Brazilian team’s games, the broadcasts will have joint teams.

Even with values ​​below the initial table, the sale of quotas advanced. The original plan projected revenue in excess of R$300 million from sponsorships. Even so, the amount already covers the investment made in exhibition rights.

The contract with FIFA was signed in 2025 for US$25 million, an amount that guarantees the broadcast of 32 games, a number lower than the 54 initially negotiated after reviewing the financial terms. Payments to the organization will be made in installments until the start of the World Cup, scheduled for June and July 2026.

The package is not exclusive to open TV, and some of the games will also be shown on Globo.
