António José Seguro and André Ventura will be face-to-face this Tuesday in what will be the only television debate between the two candidates for the second round of the presidential elections.

Seguro and Ventura will compete in the second round of on February 8, after, on Sunday, having won 31.1% and 23.5% of the votesrespectively.
Days later, Ventura accused António José Seguro having refused the debate organized by the radio and running away from the confrontation of ideas why “he spent an entire campaign saying generalities.”
The campaign for the second round of the presidential elections begins the day after the publication of the official results map or, if it has not been published by then, on January 31st.
The current President of the Republic, elected in 2016, is Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who ends his term in March 2026.
