“The Beauty” helped me accept my imperfections, says Ashton Kutcher

After decades of career in cinema and TV, the actor Ashton Kutcher47, said the producer’s new project Ryan Murphy (“Glee”, “Monsters”) the series “The Beauty”helped him accept his imperfections.

In , now available on the Disney+ streaming service, the world of haute couture takes a sinister turn when international supermodels begin to die in mysterious and disturbing ways. FBI agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) e Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) are sent to Paris to investigate what is behind these events. As they advance the case, they discover the existence of a sexually transmitted virus that transforms people into versions of hegemonic physical perfection, but with terrible consequences.

Their investigation soon puts them in the crosshairs of “The Corporation” (Ashton Kutcher), a tech billionaire who secretly created a drug called “The Beauty,” and who will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire, including releasing his hit man, “The Assassin.” (Anthony Ramos).

“As a viewer of the script I was reading, I started asking myself this question, like, ‘What do you consider beautiful?’ And I think it’s difficult because… I think every person you talk to probably has a different definition of what that is,” said Kutcher, in a press conference accompanied by CNN. “And, for me, it’s imperfection that’s beautiful. Because imperfection is a representation of something’s potential. And I think we’re all imperfect,” he added.

“Having worked as a model and in the fashion industry for a while when I was younger, I met people who I considered to be the most beautiful in the world. And every one of those people, if you asked them to look in the mirror, they would find that one thing they would like to change,” he reflected.

“We are all fabulous, beautiful works that are constantly evolving, learning and changing over time. And I think that’s beautiful. So I think if anything has really helped me, it’s that the show has made me think about that and find that honest place within myself where I’ve become more accepting of my own imperfections and ambitious about change,” he concluded.

The cast also features special appearances by Amelia Gray Hamlin, Ari Graynor, Bella Hadid, Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, Jessica Alexander, Julie Halston, Lux Pascal, Meghan Trainor, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Peter Gallagher e Vincent D’Onofrio.
