On Tuesday morning, drivers should expect fog and icy conditions, which are forming in several places in Slovakia. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) warns that reduced visibility from 100 to 200 meters occurs locally throughout the Slovak Republic. Road users drew attention to this on the website zjazdnost.sk.
There is fog with visibility up to 50 meters in Bratislava, Nitra, Šahy, Beladice, Bánovce nad Bebravou, Tesárske Mlyňany, Kechnec, Želiezovce, Turnňa nad Bodvou and Triblavina.
Glaciation is formed on the entire territory of the Trnava region and on sections of roads II/526 Stará Huta – Podkriváň, II/591 Vígľaš – Červeňany, II/531 Tisovec – border of Rimavská Sobota and Revúca districts, III/2530 Hodruša-Hámre – Žarnovica and on roads III. classes in the districts of Žiar nad Hronom, Kremnica and Nová Baňa. It is also reported on the Biela Hora, Vrchslatina, Cukmantel and Zbojská mountain passes. “Watch out for freezing drizzle in the Dunajská Streda area,” the road workers added.
On the Dobšiná mountain pass, there is some compacted snow on the road. On the roads in the higher elevations of central and eastern Slovakia, the road surface is rarely covered with a layer of slushy or compacted snow. Sometimes icy snow is on the roads in the Levoča district.
