The Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica informed about this on the social network.

A 47-year-old man suffered a serious injury during logging in the forest near the village of Píla on Tuesday. According to the police, the rescuers who were called were unable to help him. “In a short time, this is already the second tragedy in connection with forest works. Yesterday, a 60-year-old man was fatally injured by a falling tree. The accident happened in the forest near the village of Moštenica,” the police said.

In both cases, the police opened criminal proceedings for manslaughter. The circumstances of the cases are still under investigation.
