How to recognize earthworms?

Earthworms reproduce by laying eggs in pots and it is the larvae that wreak the greatest havoc. They live only 7 days, but during this time the female can lay up to 100 eggs, which hatch after 4 days. At room temperature, the development cycle of one generation lasts about 4 weeks.
How do earthworms destroy plants?
The most harmful are those that gather and feed near the surface. They eat organic remains, as well as mowing and plant shoots. They thus damage the root system of flowers, which in extreme cases may lead to the complete death of the plants. Infected potted flowers may begin to turn yellow and wilt. Additionally, ground beetles can spread pathogens that cause serious plant diseases, such as Fusarium wilt.

Experts indicate that garlic is the most effective home remedy. It acts as a deterrent to adults and, thanks to the allicin content, it inhibits the development and destroys larvae. To use garlic, simply crush 2 cloves of garlic (with their skins) and pour 500 ml of boiling water over them. Set aside to cool and then strain. Before using the infusion, dilute it in 1 liter of water. Water the affected plants with this decoction once every 5 days.
In case of a bigger problem, it is worth using purchased preparations. Experts indicate that the strongest, but at the same time safe for plants, is Mospilan 20 SP. It is a chemical compound that affects both larvae and adults. It contains acetamiprid, which penetrates the plant and circulates in its juices. Infected insects die after a few hours. Mospilan 20 SP can be used both for watering (fights larvae) and in the form of spraying on adult individuals.
