Die Washington Post has suddenly and at short notice called off an editorial team that was supposed to report on the Winter Olympics in northern Italy. This is fueling concerns about further cuts, particularly in foreign reporting, after two waves of job cuts and savings in recent years at the daily newspaper, which is owned by Amazon boss Jeff Bezos. The editorial team just appealed to him to preserve international reporting.
