Gang leader and son arrested in operation against illegal dismantling

A man identified as leader of an organization specializing in the dismantling of illegal vehicles was arrested this Tuesday (27), during the Operation Pratonus I, on the border between the city of São Pauloin the East Zone, and the municipality of Ferraz de Vasconcelos.

In addition to him, the teams also detained his son, suspected of involvement in the same illicit practices as his father. At the scene, police found components, parts and parts of dismantled vehicles. The two were charged with the crime of receiving.

In total, they were fulfilled 18 search and seizure warrantswith the mobilization of 36 teams. The investigations took place after intelligence surveys pointed to the relevant role of the group in the illegal dismantling of cars that had allegedly been stolen or stolen.

The action included the participation of police officers from Deic (State Department of Criminal Investigations) and teams from Divecar (Division of Investigations into Robbery and Theft of Vehicles and Cargo) and DIG (General Investigations Department).

The arrest took place in the Inácio Monteiro housing complex, in Guaianases, in the East Zone, during the execution of a search and seizure warrant.
