This party snack always works for me. Beer bites I make them when I’m expecting guests and they always disappear from the table very quickly.
- 400 g of wheat flour,
- 100 g of grated sharp cheddar cheese,
- 100 g sera mozzarella,
- 150 g of good quality ham, sliced,
- 100 g of butter,
- 400 g buttermilk,
- 1 handful of fresh parsley,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder,
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- ½ teaspoon of granulated garlic,
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper.
Half an hour before starting work, put the butter in the freezer.
Grate both types of cheese separately on a medium-sized grater.
Cut the ham slices into cubes.2 In a large bowl, mix the flour, cheddar cheese, ham, parsley, baking powder, baking soda and spices.
Grate the frozen butter on a large grater. Mix the shavings into the remaining ingredients. 3 Pour in the buttermilk and mix everything with a spatula until a soft dough is formed.
Place baking paper on an oven tray. Place cookies on it, approximately 3 tablespoons for each cookie. Sprinkle them with grated mozzarella. 4 Put the baking tray in the oven preheated to 250 degrees Celsius. Bake the beer morsels for about 14-18 minutes, until golden. Turn them over halfway through baking.
Serve the morsels warm or cold as a snack. They go great with various sauces or dips.
