German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Wednesday dismissed doubts about US President Donald Trump’s ability to govern. TASR informs about it based on the report of the DPA agency.
“Based on my meetings with President Trump, I have no reason to doubt his health,” answered Merz to a journalist’s question. “My impression is that yes, he is fully capable of performing his duties. I have no indication that it should be otherwise.” added the German chancellor.
The DPA agency writes that despite reassurances from the White House, Trump’s health remains a frequent topic of discussion. Bruises on the hands, often covered by a layer of make-up, have been noticed by a number of media in recent months. According to White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, they are caused by frequent handshakes.
Politico magazine wrote on Wednesday that On the sidelines of last week’s European Council meeting in Brussels, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico spoke to some EU state leaders about his concerns about the “psychological state” of the American president.whom he met at his Florida mansion Mar-a-Lago. Politico cited five unnamed European diplomats in its claims.
Fico later called the magazine’s information lies. “No one heard anything, no one saw anything, there are no witnesses, but nothing stopped Politico from coming up with lies,” Fico said in a statement.
