After the soap opera dragged on for a few weeks, Flamengo finally agreed on the return of Lucas Paquetá. West Ham agreed to sell the midfielder for 42 million euros (around R$260 million).
Lucas Paquetá arrives in Brazil this Thursday morning (29/01), and Flamengo has already “officialized” the signing by posting a video of the player on their official networks.
— Speak, Nation! I just want to say that I’m very happy to be able to go home. I would very much like to thank president BAP, Flamengo, its sponsors. And of course, to the entire Nation that made this dream possible. I’ll see you in a little while. We’re together! — said Paquetá before traveling to Rio de Janeiro.
If the name is registered with the CBF BID by Friday (01/30), the player will be able to play on Sunday, in the Brazilian Super Cup final, against Corinthians.
