Swiss Loïc Meillard triumphs at the giant slalom in Schladming

Schladming – The giant slalom night race in Schladming did not bring the Austrian podium place that was hoped for. As the best ÖSV driver, Marco Schwarz finished eighth on Tuesday evening in front of 15,000 home fans. The victory on the Planai ice slope was won by the Swiss Loic Meillard, who won here three years ago. Second place went to the Brazilian half-time leader Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (+0.73 seconds), third place went to the Frenchman Alban Elezi Cannaferina (+0.90).
