The Algarve Congress Center, in Vilamoura, will host the Tourism Job Fair on February 6th, considered “the largest employment event in the sector in Portugal”, organized by the Employment Exchange.
In a statement, the organization said that the event will feature “more than 90 companies” that will present “hundreds of job offers in the region”, aimed at all those interested in joining the tourism sector.
The Tourism Job Fair will be attended by Carlos Abade, president of Turismo de Portugal, André Gomes, president of the Algarve Regional Tourism Entity, Telmo Pinto, president of Loulé City Council, and Hugo Gonçalves, general director of Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Resort. The initiative once again has the institutional support of Turismo de Portugal, the Algarve Regional Tourism Entity, Loulé City Council and merytu, as the main sponsor.
In the Algarve, more than 90 companies in the hotel and tourism sectors will be represented, including ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, McDonald’s, TUI, Curio Collection by Hilton, Victoria Golf Resort & SPA, among other national and regional entities. Together, opportunities will be presented in the areas of hotels, restaurants, cuisine and pastry, tour operators, travel agencies, tourist entertainment, housekeeping and human resources.
The organization explains that the morning period, between 10:00 and 13:00, will be dedicated to secondary, professional and university students, while the afternoon, from 14:00 to 17:30, will be aimed at the general public. Speed Interviews also take place during the day, a dynamic that aims to promote quick meetings between participating companies and previously selected candidates.
The Employment Exchange marks its 10th anniversary this year, highlighting that the Tourism Job Fair “is a reflection of the work developed over the last decade in promoting the sector and creating bridges between companies and professionals”.
Participation in the event requires prior registration on the official website, with all applications subject to confirmation by the organization. Only interested parties who have registered in advance can enter the Vilamoura event.
