A 60-year-old man has been injured and is in critical condition, which occurred late this Wednesday on Avenida de los Arcentales, the Madrid neighborhood of San Blas, according to sources from .
The man has been run over by a taxi in the vicinity of a pedestrian crossing located on the aforementioned avenue. The victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest, although a passerby managed to reverse it until the arrival of medical personnel at the scene of the accident.
Emergencies received the notice shortly before midnight and the Samur-Civil Protection troops upon arrival determined that the man had a severe head injury, so the police closed a section of Arcentales Avenue to be able to treat him at the scene. Then, the victim was taken to the La Paz Hospital, escorted by the Police.
The Municipal Police of Madrid is investigating the causes of the event. The taxi driver who ran over the victim was at the scene when the authorities arrived, where he also received psychological attention.
