According to investigations, the dog Orelha was allegedly attacked by a group of teenagers at Praia Brava, in Florianópolis.

The two teenagers investigated for the death of the dog Orelha have already returned to Brazil. The Santa Catarina Civil Police confirmed the return of the boys, who were in the United States.

The return of young people was identified through a monitoring carried out in conjunction with the Federal Police, which detected the advance flight of those being investigated. With the support of the Tourist Protection Police Station (DPTUR) and the Military Police, authorities carried out search and seizure warrants as soon as the teenagers arrived.

During the action, the cell phones of the two young people were seized. The devices will be sent to the Scientific Police for data extractionthe same procedure adopted with other equipment collected on Monday (26).

The teenagers have already been summoned and are expected to be heard by authorities soon. In addition to analyzing the electronic devices, the police requested the issuance of a corpus delicti report on the dog Orelha to attach to the case.

According to the official note, as soon as all steps are completed, the investigation will be forwarded to the Public Ministry and the Judiciary.

Teenagers were in the USA

Two of the four teenagers suspected of the crime against Orelha were traveling to the United States. According to the general delegate of the Civil Police of Santa Catarina, Ulisses Gabriel, the young people’s trip was pre-scheduled and they would only return to Brazil next week. However, the return was anticipated.

“Two teenagers were search targets and two others are in the United States and went there on a trip, which reportedly was pre-planned and are returning there next week,” said the delegate on Tuesday (27).

According to Gabriel, search warrants were executed on Monday, including against an adult who was believed to be in possession of a weapon and had threatened a witness in the process.

“We executed a search and seizure warrant in relation to an adult who was believed to be in possession of a weapon during the threat perpetrated against a witness. We did not locate this firearm. We only located a quantity of drugs for use inside the residence”, he said in a video released by the Civil Police of Santa Catarina.
