Heightened US-Iran warnings: Our armed forces have their fingers on the trigger

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi declared on Wednesday that the country’s armed forces would respond vigorously to any military operation by the United States. According to his words “they have their fingers on the trigger”writes TASR based on a report by the AFP agency.

“Our brave armed forces are ready – fingers on the trigger – to respond immediately and forcefully to ANY aggression against our beloved land, air and sea. Valuable lessons learned from the 12-day war allow us to respond even stronger, faster and more thoroughly.” wrote Arákčí on the X social network.

“At the same time, Iran has always welcomed a mutually beneficial, fair and impartial NUCLEAR AGREEMENT – on an equal footing and without coercion, threats and intimidation – which will ensure Iran’s rights to peaceful nuclear technology and guarantee NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS,” he added, saying that such weapons have no place in Iran’s security architecture.

On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump again threatened Iran with a military attack if it does not start negotiations with the United States about its nuclear program. “A huge army is moving towards Iran. It is moving fast, with great force, enthusiasm and determination.” Trump wrote.

The head of the White House recalled in the post that his last warning to Iran was followed by a military strike. He was referring to the bombing of three Iranian nuclear facilities, with which the USA joined the 12-day war between Israel and Iran in June of last year. The declared goal was to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, but Iran has repeatedly denied such an ambition.
