According to the PF, investigations indicate a possible diversion of approximately R$912,000 in public resources arising from parliamentary amendments known as the “Pix Amendment”. This method of transfer allows the direct transfer of funds from the Union to states and municipalities, without the need for agreements or prior accountability.
As part of the operation, 14 search and seizure warrants are being executed, authorized by the Federal Supreme Court, at addresses located in Acre and the Federal District.
The investigation involves, among other points, how the company responsible for the shows was hired and the destination of the resources used to finance the presentations. Those under investigation may be liable for crimes such as association with a criminal organization, bid fraud, corruption, money laundering, among other related crimes.
Operation Graco is still ongoing, and new information should be released after analyzing the seized material.
