Poland on its feet: The airspace was violated by unknown objects from the east!

On Wednesday evening, unknown objects entered the airspace of Poland from the direction of Belarus. Based on analyses, including flight characteristics, the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces (DO RSZ) came to the conclusion that they were most likely balloon-like objects, which moved in accordance with meteorological conditions, said on platform X. TASR informs about this with reference to the PAP agency.

  • Unknown objects penetrated Polish airspace from the direction of Belarus.
  • According to the analyses, they were probably objects similar to balloons.
  • They introduced temporary restrictions on civil air transport in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
  • The operational command did not find any threat to the safety of the airspace.
  • Incidents are perceived as hybrid activities, the situation is monitored by the armed forces.

For security reasons, they have therefore introduced restrictions for civil transport in the part of the airspace over the Podlaskie Voivodeship. “No threat to the security of Polish airspace has been detected,” stated the operational command.

According to him, such incidents fit into a set of hybrid activities, kwhich occur in the east of Poland. The Armed Forces continuously monitor the situation and are ready to perform tasks related to the protection of Polish airspace, the DO RSZ said.

The most significant violation of Polish airspace occurred on the night of September 9-10, 2025, when 19-23 unarmed drones launched from Russia penetrated it during a large-scale attack by Russian forces on Ukraine. The Polish army, in cooperation with NATO allies, shot down several of them.
