The governor of Paraná, defended this Wednesday (29) a pardon for the former president, sentenced to 27 years and 3 months in prison for leading a coup plot, and for those convicted of participating in the attacks on January 8, 2023.

“These vandals, who made a mistake, must be treated as criminals for a crime of vandalism. But, if it is necessary to pacify the country, it is necessary to do so”, said the governor in .
Ratinho stated that the punishment was excessive and compared the attack to invasions by PT members of the Legislative Assembly of Paraná.
Leaders are divided on the issue. Caiado, who joined the party this week, has already stated on several occasions that he is in favor of a broad and unrestricted amnesty, which would also benefit Bolsonaro.
