The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), stated that former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) views with “favorable eyes” the pre-candidacy of the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (União Brasil), for the presidency of the Republic, despite maintaining the pre-candidacy of his son, senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), for the Palácio do Planalto.
The statements took place this Thursday (29), after Tarcísio visited Bolsonaro in prison in Brasília.
“He spoke. And the president saw it with good eyes. The president praised Caiado to me. The president has an appreciation for Caiado, a consideration for the work that Caiado did throughout his political career. The president understands that it is a candidacy that also adds to this project, that in the end everyone will be together against the PT, there is no doubt about that. So, he saw it with very good eyes. The president then sees it with hope too and saw a right move and was satisfied”, he stated.
