In an interview with the three PSD pre-candidates, the governor of Goiás classified the PT government as ‘warmed coffee’ and stated that the party is ‘the opponent of work’
The three pre-candidates for the presidency of the PSD, the governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior, the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite and the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, spoke together about the candidacy, in an interview with the “O Globo” portal.
During the conversation, Caiado stated that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) “governs from the 8th of January until today”. According to the governor, the PT member took office promising to pacify the country, but he did not fulfill it, which would be the role of a president.
Caiado classified the PT government as “reheated coffee”for the time he has been at the head of the country.
“The PT is a party that is against work. He is an opponent of work”, he continued. He also said that the party wants to control people through social programs or public positions.
About the election, Ratinho Jr. commented that there is no priority in choosing the PSDand that Brazilian politics makes the mistake of discussing names and not projects. “Brazil needs a government plan that doesn’t just think about the mandate”, he stated.
The governor of Paraná, responding to the question about supporting a pardon for people convicted of the 8th of January, said he would be in favor if it was a measure that would pacify the country. “I am an instrument that will want to build bridges. I will want Brazil to return to normality.”
Caiado’s departure from União Brasil

In a publication, the governor stated that he is living “an important moment” of his political trajectory and highlighted his reception in the new party. “Today I am experiencing an important moment in my career. Alongside governors Ratinho Junior and Eduardo Leite, I am being very well received in the PSD, where I sign my new party affiliation”, he wrote.
Not text, Caiado thanked União Brasil, a party to which he was affiliated in recent years, and said he had built a trajectory there marked by coherence and defense of the country. “I am grateful to União Brasil, where I built a path of coherence and defense of the country. But the time has come to take a step forward and today, with total detachment, we come together to build a project of true change for a new Brazil”, he stated.

The president has an appreciation for Caiado, a consideration for the work that Caiado did throughout his political career”, he said. “The president understands that it is a candidacy that also adds to this project, that in the end everyone will be together against the PT, there is no doubt about that. So, he saw it with very good eyes. The president then sees it with hope too and saw a successful movement and was satisfied”, he continued.
