This Thursday, the Government declared a state of calamity in 60 municipalities affected by the storm. The Government announced that the calamity decree covers the period between 00:00 on Wednesday and 23:59 on February 1st and around 60 municipalities, a number that could increase. The announcement was made by the Minister of the Presidency, António Leitão Amaro, at the press conference after the weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers.
