Intubated patients are being transferred to other wards within the hospital unit itself
The Instituto do Coração was hit by a fire in the boiler area this Friday (January 30, 2026). The fire started in the building located in Jardim Paulista, west of São Paulo.
Intubated patients are being transferred to other wards within the hospital unit itself. Seven Fire Department vehicles were mobilized to respond to the emergency.
The Fire Department recorded the incident at 2:09 pm and sent specialized teams to control the flames that started in the institution’s boiler department. Firefighters are working to access the source of the fire and prevent it from spreading to other areas of the hospital.
