Conclusions were drawn after autopsy and video surveillance analysis
Pedro Ferraz Correia dos Reis, administrator of the BCI bank in Mozambique, actually committed suicide, concludes the investigation by the Judicial Police itself, which sent a team of investigators to that country to advise local authorities to determine the circumstances of the Portuguese man’s death at the Polana hotel in Maputo, CNN Portugal knows.
The result of the autopsy, combined with other evidence – such as analysis of video surveillance images – excludes the hypothesis of intervention by third parties (homicide), contradicting the speculations that arose that Pedro Ferraz dos Reis could have been murdered in a scenario in which his suicide was simulated.
This death shocked the Portuguese and Mozambican community and was followed by cooperation in the investigation between Portugal and Mozambique.
