The drop, however, was not enough to change the crime map. Rio Branco had 1,268 records, which represents 70.84% of all robberies that occurred in the state; In practice, this means that seven out of every ten crimes were recorded in the capital, which had more incidents than all other municipalities combined. The interior recorded, in total, 522 episodes.
In second place comes Cruzeiro do Sul, with 206 cases (11.51%); followed by Tarauacá, with 77 records (4.30%). In a second block, there are municipalities with much lower numbers, but still relevant in the local context: Sena Madureira (35 cases), Plácido de Castro (26), Epitaciolândia (23) and Mâncio Lima (19) have monthly averages that vary between one and three robberies per month. Cities such as Assis Brasil, Bujari, Porto Acre and Rodrigues Alves closed the year with less than ten incidents each.
When looking at the monthly evolution, the data show a year marked by fluctuations and a strong acceleration in the last quarter. The period with the fewest records was May, with 92 occurrences, followed by February (111) and July (124). From August onwards, the numbers start to rise consistently: 135 cases in August, 168 in September, 176 in October, 191 in November and the peak in December, with 202 robberies, the highest monthly volume in 2025.
Between September and December alone, Acre had 737 incidents, equivalent to 41% of all robberies of the year. On average, the state recorded 149 robberies per month, but this number rose to 184 in the last three months of the year, highlighting the impact of the period of greater economic circulation.
Thefts happen more at night
The robberies recorded in Acre in 2025 followed a day and time pattern, concentrating mainly at night and at the beginning of the week. According to data from the Technical Support Center (NAT) of the Public Ministry of Acre (MPAC), the night period was the most dangerous, while Monday appeared as the day with the highest number of incidents throughout the year.
Of the total records, 786 robberies took place at night, which represents the highest volume among all periods of the day. Then they appear in the afternoon, with 384 occurrences; the morning, with 331; and the morning, with 307 cases. In practice, almost one in two robberies in the state occurred after sunset.
When the cut is made by day of the week, Monday leads the ranking, with 282 recordsfollowed closely by Saturday (269), Thursday (265) and Friday (261). Wednesday recorded 249 incidents, Tuesday 243, while Sunday appears as the day with the lowest number of robberies, despite 221 cases throughout the year.
