The doctor who treated the victim said the young man arrived at the hospital lifeless and ‘probably lost a lot of blood’
The State Committee for Monitoring Shark Incidents (Cemit) confirmed this Thursday (29) the death of a 13-year-old teenager after a shark bite at Praia Del Chifre, in Olinda, Pernambuco. With the accident, the number of cases on the coast of Pernambuco reached 82, in the last 34 years.
In a note, Cemit reported that there are 150 signposts in . Of these, 13 are located in Olinda and four in Praia Del Chifre. The Committee also said that representatives of the Pernambuco government were at the Tricentenário Hospital, where the teenager was sent after the accident. At the scene, authorities provided support to the victim’s family and “gathered more information about the case”.
According to doctor Levy Dalton, g1the young man arrived at the hospital lifeless. The general practitioner said the teenager “had a quite extensive lesion, in a location with arteries” on his right thigh and “probably lost a lot of blood”.
