Response rate goes from 40% to 22%: professionals’ ability to respond is decreasing in a worrying way.
As expected, the demand for professionals specialized in works em Leiria has increased incredibly since Wednesday, the most complicated day of the year.
More specifically, and according to data from Fixando, demand is almost quadrupled (275% increase) precisely on Wednesday, January 28th, compared to the daily average for the month.
The following day, Thursday, the number of requests from workers in Leiria already represented almost a quarter (24%) of the country’s total.
Some services have been most searched: repair, maintenance, roof installation or replacement, installation or repair of gates, installation of shutters, glazier, bars and fences, removal of rubbish and rubble.
First problem, according to the platform: throughout this weekend, the search for repair services must increase significantly.
Second problem: It will be increasingly difficult to hire specialists.
The response capacity of professionals is decreasing in a worrying way, Fixando warns, in a statement.
On Thursday, the response rate to requests in Leiria was 40% – today, Friday, has passed to 22%.
In fact, in general, in mainland Portugal the difference is also evident: 50% of requests had at least one proposal on Wednesday, but on Thursday the percentage was only 31%.
In the Leiria district, only 24% of registered specialists in the area of home services are available to respond to requests.
