A Tupy () announced this Friday a partnership with the group Vamos () for the production of trucks and buses with biomethane and natural gas engines.
The company, which owns engine manufacturer MWM, stated that the first project with Vamos involves 100 trucks to be delivered starting this year and used to collect urban waste in Rio de Janeiro.
MWM will be responsible for supplying the propulsion technology — including the engine, storage system, valves and fuel lines — while BMB, a Vamos unit, will acquire the vehicles and install the components through its special vehicle preparation line, Tupy said in a statement to the market
