Verizon profit drops to $2.34 billion in Q4

A Verizon had net profit of US$2.34 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, a drop compared to the US$5 billion recorded in the same period last year, according to a balance sheet released this Friday (30). With adjustments, the US communications company recorded earnings per share of US$1.09 between October and December, above the projection of analysts surveyed by FactSet, of US$1.05

A Verizon revenue rose 2%to US$36.4 billion in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in 2025.

The company achieved a net 616,000 new postpaid phone connections in the fourth quarter, with its CEO, Dan Schulman, calling the period a “critical inflection point.”

Schulman took over as executive director of the country’s largest mobile phone operator in October, with the mission of strategic restructuring after the company lost ground to competitors.

He ordered the biggest job cuts in Verizon’s history in November and called for the company to become “more efficient.” This month, he faced a major challenge as many Verizon customers were left without service during an hours-long network outage.
