Kristína Malachovská becomes the new face of the morning show Dobré ráno, Slovensko!. After the experience from the TV show Zdravá mašrta under the auspices of STVR, he will thus strengthen one of the key pillars of radio broadcasting. “I was approached for this position by the management of Rádio Slovensko. Together with Milan Urbaník, we spoke very openly about mutual expectations and we agreed on what my cooperation with the morning team should look like,” she revealed to .
She admitted that the new job opportunity made her very happy. At the same time, she emphasized that she belongs to people who are not afraid of new challenges, and that is why she enthusiastically accepted the offer for morning broadcasting. “I don’t see it as a comeback at all, rather as a new step in a different media environment. Radio is specific and at the same time very close to me. I will participate in the preparation of morning topics and work with the Dobré ráno, Slovakia! team, which I perceive as a pleasant and meaningful challenge,” she added with enthusiasm.
The news also pleased her mother, Iveta Malachovská, who has been an integral part of the Ladies’ Club magazine for years. However, it was not so long ago that she thought about the fact that the children of famous personalities do not have it easy. “You know, the younger ones in the families always have it incredibly hard after you. My husband was compared to his father all his life. If someone didn’t like his father as a national artist, as a singer, he gave my husband a hard time.” she admitted that her daughter had to face prejudice during her time on television. According to her, some looked down on her just because of her famous last name.
The seasoned presenter also expressed support for her daughter on social networks. She did so under her first post, in which she excitedly announced to fans her early debut on a new radio show. “Well, I know you’re going to be great. I’m sorry that you’re still being linked to me, it certainly doesn’t bother anyone when the child of a doctor is a doctor, but…whatever, I wish everyone positive energy, joy of life and peace of mind.” she said in a comment on Instagram, which you can find in the gallery.
Her words were immediately responded to by one of the discussants, who did not put a napkin in front of her mouth. “A doctor’s child has to study medicine for six years and prove that she has what it takes. Your Kristina is just a protective child. But I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she does well,” she said in a comment that you can find in the gallery. Finally, Kristína herself reacted to the accusations and harsh criticism. “Don’t be angry with me, but I can’t resist commenting on the hype surrounding my work at Slovak Radio. There are obviously people in Slovak Radio who may see something in me, something that the haters don’t see, or maybe they don’t even want to see. You only see my last name and you immediately attach a red exclamation point to it and throw a stone at it, you immediately condemn me for being condescending and not that I might be smart or have any qualities that can be found somewhere.” she emphasized on Friday, January 30 on Instagram.
She openly named the hostile atmosphere she has to face. “Every job and every person in a new job needs time to fully show their qualities. I didn’t even sit behind the microphone for 2 minutes and all hell broke loose. I wouldn’t even be surprised if I stutter for the first time from the pressure that is being put on me here. My main job is to prepare morning topics for Dobrá ráno Slovakia! I’m not going there to have my own show!!!” she explained angrily.
She made it clear that she will not be deterred by her famous surname and will pursue her dream despite being constantly boxed in. “Don’t be angry, but I’m not going to stop doing what I enjoy and working in the media just because my mom built an admirable career in the same sector and you all just label me. I have to find professional happiness just like anyone else and I’m going to go for it.” she added forcefully.
