The mayor of Rio Branco and president of the Association of Municipalities of Acre, Tião Bocalom, visited this Saturday (21) the former state deputy and former mayor Luiz Hassem, historic leader of Alto Acre and a reference in the fight for the founding of the municipality of Epitaciolândia.

Luiz Hassem is part of a traditional family from the region. His son, André Hassem, was also mayor of Epitaciolândia. Fernanda Hassem was mayor of Brasiléia, and state deputy Tadeu Hassem is also part of the family. During the meeting, Bocalom highlighted his long-standing friendship and the importance of dialoguing with leaders who helped build Acre.
“Since we made our name available to the state government, I have been visiting old friends. Luizinho is one of those warriors”, he stated.

Luiz Hassem highlighted the mayor’s trajectory. “We were talking these days about serious and honest politicians, and there is no way to talk about honesty without talking about Bocalom. May God bless the next challenges”, he said.
