Flamengo and Corinthians face each other this Sunday (1st), at 4pm, at Mané Garrincha, in Brasília, in a match valid for the Super Cup. THE confrontation is a duel between the Brazilian champion of 2025 and the Brazilian Cup of the same year.
This is the second time that the teams have faced each other in the Super Cup. In 1991, the black and white team — seeking its second trophy in the competition — secured the cup.
Both teams are coming off a defeat. Corinthians lost to Bahia 2-1 in their Brazilian Championship debut, while Flamengo is also coming off a setback against São Paulo, in the Brasileirão.
O Flamengo is the current champion of the tournament and is looking for a fourth title. In 2025, they beat Botafogo 2-1 to lift the cup.
