Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia compete in the Best Global Music Album category with ‘Caetano e Bethânia Ao Vivo’
The 68th edition of the Grammy Awards takes place this Sunday (1st) in Los Angeles, United States. Superstars Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny look to make history. Also among the nominees are the brothers Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia, who compete in the Best Global Music Album category with “Caetano e Bethânia Ao Vivo”.
The official ceremony will begin at 9:30 pm (Brasília time) on the streaming platforms HBO Max and the subscription channel TNT. For the sixth and final year in a row, South African comedian Trevor Noah will host and produce the 68th Grammy Awards.
Rapper Lamar, who last year dominated the awards by winning five categories, returns with nine nominations and the expectation of winning, for the first time, the coveted ‘Album of the Year’ trophy. A feat that would also represent a milestone for Puerto Rican Bad Bunny and the chameleonic Lady Gaga, both at the top of the list of favorites.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the list with nine nominations, followed by . In third place are Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter and R&B songwriter Leon Thomas, each with six nominations.
