“It hurts like hell”: Rettenegger misses victory in the Seefeld triple in the last few meters

Seefeld – Salzburg’s Stefan Rettenegger narrowly missed out on winning the Nordic Combined World Cup triple. On Sunday, the 23-year-old had to let the Norwegian Jens Luraas Oftebro overtake him in the last few meters of the 12.5 km cross-country skiing after a long solo lead. World Cup leader Johannes Lamparter finished fifth in the last race before the Olympic Games behind the German triple defending champion Vinzenz Geiger and Einar Luraas Oftebro.
