The former player and current commentator for TV Globo Felipe Melo used his Instagram this Monday (2) to comment on the controversy he was involved in at the Mané Garrincha stadium. A Corinthians fan insulted him and even pulled his shirt as he crossed the sports arena.

The episode with the former athlete from Flamengo, Palmeiras and the Brazilian team occurred during the Super Cup final, on Sunday, when the . The case also involved verbal aggression and did not have any further developments because the security guards managed to end the conflict. In a post on Instagram, Felipe Melo classified the fan as “a fool” and said that the incident could have had serious consequences.

“I had to go through the crowd. At first, I was fine, some were cursing and others asked for a photo. I always respected all institutions. This idiot wanted to grow up because he was with a lot of people. When I came back, he was all left behind. The day I’m afraid of another man, I won’t be here among us anymore”, said the former athlete.

“A tragedy could have happened. This guy doesn’t say what the Corinthians fans are,” said Felipe Melo, who took advantage of the video to thank him for the messages of solidarity he received.

Finally, the player also regretted the case and tried to put an end to the issue. “We happened to be passing by and a guy wanted to be funny. He chose the wrong guy. I think it looked ugly. But that’s it. At the end of the day, it’s peace, guys”, concluded Felipe in his video.
