A nighttime fire on Banšelová street in Bratislava’s Ružinov forced two dozen families into the winter. Not only the two apartments directly affected by the fire are uninhabitable, but also many others. The mayor of Ružinov, Martin Chren, informed about it on the social network. He pointed out that there was no loss of life and probably no serious injuries.

“At approximately 11:15 p.m. last night (February 2), firefighters went out to fight a fire in two apartments at Banšelová 36 in Trnávka. Although the fire was quite strong and required the intervention of several pieces of equipment and the calling of reinforcements, thanks to the quick and prompt intervention of the rescue services and the police, it was possible to evacuate the two entrances of the six-story block of flats“said the mayor. According to him, several people inhaled fumes and were treated in an ambulance on the spot.
As he added, the cause of the fire can only be speculated until the official investigation. “Various alternatives were discussed on site, from a gas bomb to electric scooters,” zoomed in on Horseradish. He considers each such event as a raised finger that shows how security cannot be underestimated.
The fire in the apartment building was also confirmed by the Bratislava regional police. “Upon arriving at the scene, the patrol discovered that two floors were on fire and the fire was rising higher, which is why the immediate evacuation of residents from several apartment entrances was necessary.” she stated on the social network. As she added, the exact causes of the fire, as well as the amount of damage, are being clarified by the police officers of the District Directorate of the Police Force in Bratislava II.
