  • Progressive Slovakia files a criminal complaint for Epstein’s links to Slovakia.
  • References to Slovak citizens and possible victims appeared in Epstein’s communication.
  • Members of the PS call on Slovak victims to speak up and seek justice.
  • They will submit a resolution in support of the Slovak victims to the parliament.
  • Lajčák resigned from the position of adviser to the prime minister for contacts with Epstein, denies guilt.

The opposition PS files a criminal report for the links of American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to Slovakia. It was justified by the fact that in the published communication there are messages with Slovak citizens or with people who were in Slovakia at that time. Epstein himself also visited the country. The documents are also supposed to contain hundreds of reports about Slovak victims of sexual violence. At a press briefing in front of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Slovak Republic, the deputies of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic for the PS informed about this on Tuesday.

“Jeffrey Epstein is already dead, but his entire network of disgusting perverts worked. We think that these persons should face justice. And, on the contrary, the victims who are also in Slovakia should receive justice,” stated the member of the NR SR Beata Jurík (PS).

As she added, they will submit a resolution in support of Epstein’s Slovak sexual victims to the parliamentary plenary session. “There is no politicking involved, there is no mention of Miroslav Lajčák, and there is no reason why the ‘press’ fighters for women, as we have seen in recent weeks, would not support it,” she emphasized.

Member of the NR SR Zuzana Števulová (PS) called on all women, girls and others who feel like victims of Epstein to not be afraid to speak up. “Today is the time for them to come forward, for them to come to law enforcement or organizations that provide assistance to victims of sexual abuse and speak up,” inshe reported.

She also called on the competent authorities to deal with a possible security check former adviser to Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) Miroslav Lajčák, and if he has it, they canceled it for him. According to her, Lajčák is a compromised person.

On Saturday (January 31), Prime Minister Fico accepted the resignation of his advisor Lajčák, who decided to resign because of his communication with the American sexual predator Epstein. According to him, Lajčák showed himself as a great diplomat by resigning his position. Alone Lajčák has repeatedly denied that he knew about the crimes and suspicions associated with Epstein or that he participated in them. He condemned his crimes.

The US Department of Justice announced Friday (30/1) that it is releasing more than three million new pages of files related to the Epstein sex offender case. Several prominent public figures have appeared in the files published so far, including US President Donald Trump, US ex-president Bill Clinton and billionaire Elon Musk.

American financier Epstein committed suicide in 2019 in prison in New York. According to the investigation he built an illegal network in which he provided underage girls to wealthy people.
