Chamber approves project that creates positions with a budgetary impact of R$5.3 billion

The Chamber of Deputies approved, this Tuesday, 3, a bill that creates 16,300 positions in the Ministry of Education, 1,500 positions in the Ministry of Management and Innovation and creates a Federal Institute in Patos (PB), city of the president of the Chamber himself, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB). The estimated budget impact is R$5.3 billion in 2026.

This project also creates the position of analyst in cultural activities, at the Ministry of Culture, another 225 positions at the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), 68 positions at the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), in addition to salary adjustments, new bonuses and prizes.

The basic salary for the position of tax auditor at the Federal Revenue of Brazil special class, standard III, for example, will increase from R$29,760.95 to R$32,504.91 in April 2026, if this text is sanctioned.

In the case of the MEC, 9,587 positions will be created for basic, technical and technological education teachers, 4,286 education technician positions and 2,490 education analysis positions. Furthermore, the project mentions the creation of 3,800 higher education teaching positions for redistribution to federal higher education institutions.

In the Management portfolio, 750 technical analysis positions for socioeconomic development and 750 technical analyst positions for justice and defense will be created.

Motta thanked President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for this proposition. “I want to thank President Lula for this project,” he stated, referring to the creation of the federal institute in the city of Patos.

“I have always fought for my region to have its technical and higher education institution”, he stated. “Being presiding over the Chamber at this moment is a source of joy and fulfillment. This creation will be very important for the hinterland of Paraíba.”
